Biography

Xiaofu Jin is an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow (Postdoctoral) in the Collaborative Artificial Intelligence group at the University of Stuttgart since April 2026. Prior to this, she was a visiting researcher and short-term postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University in the Computational Behavior Lab, where she collaborated with Prof. Antti Oulasvirta. She received her PhD from the Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where she was affiliated with VisLab and APEX. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence (Computer Science) and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Her research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cognitive science, with a focus on integrating cognitive modeling, AI, and interactive system design. She develops computational models and adaptive systems that align with users’ cognitive states and decision processes, aiming to bridge theoretical insights and practical techniques. Her work seeks to benefit both general user populations and underrepresented groups, including blind and low-vision individuals, older adults, and clinical populations.
